The Iranian Community Centre established the school in 1990.

It was named after Samad Behrangi a famous and popular Iranian writer (1938-1968).

Samad Behrangi School is a Supplementary and Mother-tongue school teaching Persian (Farsi) language to Iranian and Farsi speakers living in north part of London.

The school is located in Borough of Islington and run buy a dedicated team of qualified teachers and volunteers.

The Persian (Farsi) language is taught at primary level, GCSE and A-Level along with the good aspects of Iranian culture at Samad Behrangi School.
GCSE and A-Level maths are also taught to help students in their main stream education.

The school is available for children age 5 to 17 years old. They learn how to read, write and speak Farsi and also good aspects of Iranian culture is promoted.

There is an examination in each term and at the end of each year a certificate is given to those who passed the exams.

It is a Saturday school and runs during the school’s terms from 11am to 4pm.
Students attending the school are mostly the children of refugees and asylum seekers from Farsi speaking countries who live in north part of London.
